Wellbeing Break, N Wales July 24
I went on the welfare weekend in July and found it to be a fantastic weekend with many memorable moments. The weekend is designed to challenge you and to develop interpersonal skills for teambuilding within a safe environment. I personally completed a few tasks that were outside my comfort zone, one of which dealing with heights.
On the first afternoon I found myself climbing a cliff face and abseiling down again. On the Saturday we went to Anglesey and completed a 10 mile walk in the beautiful countryside, which allowed us to walk and talk in a very relaxing environment and gave the opportunity to talk about our well-being and stresses if we wished. Sunday was a really good day albeit tough as we climbed Mount Tyfan, scrambling over rocks and walking along narrow paths. The views were spectacular and wasn't dampened by the rain.
Bob Wilson (Ten 10 instructor) is one of those special people in life who has the ability to talk and listen in a non-judgemental way allowing you to talk openly about your well-being. Robert is also very good at giving encouragement when required to allow you to overcome your personal challenges in a safe confidential place. He has superb knowledge of the natural world around pointing out special plants, animals and birds.
I would recommend this weekend for individuals or teams.
Once again thank you for a great time in Wales.
