Ten:10 Wellbeing breaks

Spending time outside does you good!

Ten:10 Wellbeing breaks offer essentially the same activities that I offer elsewhere, but they will have an intentional focus on developing wellbeing.  The four principles of being together, being active, being curious and being mindful will be woven into our times together, starting each day with a time of reflection, and allowing periods for quiet contemplation in whatever activity we do.

For me, the real test of an effective wellbeing break is not how much you enjoy the break itself, but that you go home a little bit stronger than when you arrived, that you feel you can live life a little more fully.

Hillwalking Breaks

Max 6 people. We will explore some of the mountains of Snowdonia including some great summits.  Depending on conditions and the make-up of the group we will maybe even get the opportunity to explore some of the wonderful rockier ridges, such as Crib Goch or the North Ridge of Tryfan.

Fitness Expectation. You can expect to have to walk for the day with a small pack on rough mountain paths. If we head onto the ridges, a head for heights would be helpful!

Mountaineering Breaks

Max 2 people. This break will involve some rock climbing, some scrambling / mountaineering and explore more difficult to reach areas of Snowdonia. No previous experience or specialist equipment required, but this break will involve us being roped up on steep ground or rock much of the time

Fitness Expectation. You can expect to have to spend the day with a small pack walking / climbing on rough mountain paths, steep ground and graded rock climbs. A head for heights would be helpful!

Coastal / Valley Walking Breaks

Max 6 people. We will explore some lowland paths, coastal walks, and easier trails within Snowdonia.

Fitness Expectation. You can expect to have to walk on rough paths for an hour at a time without a break for up to 5 hours over the course of the day.

Bespoke Breaks and Pilgrimages

Max 6 people. I would love to talk to you about something which you would really like to do, whether that would be a day walking and talking on a 1:1 basis, or a fortnight sauntering along a pilgrimage route with friends.

"Thousands of tired, nerve-shaken, over-civilized people are beginning to find out that going to the mountains is going home; that wildness is a necessity"
John Muir, "Nature writings" 1913
